I attended a lecture last Sunday. Attending it was necessary for me to maintain the certification of a clinical psychologist.
I had expected to get some new information or to have a meaningful discussion at the lecture.
The first lecture was very interesting. It was about psychological support for the clients with HIV.
The second lecture was awful. It was not organized and had little information. The lecturer told only an impression from her experiences.
I was very angry that this lecture was a kind of obligation for me. I don't have any choice not to attend it. Attendees had paid a certain amount of money and spent a precious Sunday afternoon so lecturers should understand their responsibility to give a meaningful information.
I sometimes take a role to give a lecture which is a obligation for the attendees. I will never forget today's anger and will give a best lecture I can.
