My husband left for Switzerland for his business trip yesterday.
He had to leave home at 5:40 a.m. but he got up at 5:30.
He jumped out of bed, changed his clothes, gathered things to put into a bag and went out of the house in a very short time.
Two hours later he called me and told me that he had brought the wrong passport so he couldn't get on the plane. He asked me to bring the right passport to the airport in a hurry.
After the call, I arranged for my absence and left home for the airport.
When I reached the station near my house, the trains had stopped for 30 minutes because of a problem at the railroad crossing. It took two and a half hours to get to the airport. It was much longer than usual to get there.
I couldn't get to the airport in time so my husband had to change airplanes. I was afraid he would have to pay a lot of additional money because the ticket was very cheap, but actually he was charged only 100 Euros to change it.
My husband and I ate lunch at the airport. It was a good time for us to say goodbye, for he was so rushed that he forgot to say it in the morning.
